Al Rakim (Islamic)
In Islamic tradition, Al Raq?m was the dog that guarded the legendary Seven Sleepers and that stood by them all through their long sleep. Other narrations identify that the dog was named Qitmer which slept for 230 years. However, Al Raq?m has alternately been identified as the name of the location of the cave of the Sleepers, or the name of a "brass plate, or stone table" located at the cave, naming the Companions of the Cave.
Al Rakim has alternately been identified as The Cave of the Seven Sleepers in Jordan is a partly natural and partly man-made burial cave dating back to the Byzantine era, believed to be the cave of Ashab Kahf mentioned in the Quran.
