Ashi-magari (leg turner) is a ghostly phenomenon from the folklore of Kagawa Prefecture in Shikoku, Japan. It is a soft thing, like a kitten or a wad of cotton, which is felt wrapping itself around a person's leg at night, impeding the ability to walk. While it is not generally visible. Some versions speculate the phenomena is not a unique creature in itself but just a prank being played by other mischievous yokai. Ashi-Magari are an abnormal creature from one of the many islands of Kaho.
