Bludnik is in Slavic mythology, that dwells in the region of ?uzyce. It was said to be a mischievous gnome who used to lead people astray and decoy them into swamps. It has behaviors similar to a Will O' The Wisp with the ultimate aim of having them stumble aimless around often to their potential deaths.
Bludnik, often referred to as a "Blud," particularly associated with the region of ?uzyce, which is part of modern-day Poland and Germany. It would often appear in the form of a beguiling light or apparition, luring unsuspecting travelers into treacherous or unfamiliar terrain. Its favorite haunt was the wetlands and swamps, where it would intentionally lead people, only to leave them lost and confused, far from safety.
