Ekek (Philippine)
Ekek (or Ek Ek) were creatures who are bird-like humans. They are winged-humans who at night search for victims. Ekek is similar to the Wakwak, but it has a beak and long tongue. Sometimes a myth is named by the sound said mythical being or creature makes, such as Ekek (or Ek-Ek). This mythical humanoid comes out of Philippine mythology and is a terror. It is only one in a group or family of terrors that are identified mainly by the sound they make.
Ekek, a species of humanoid shape-shifters, and only use the human shape to help them find suitable victims. These beings hunger for flesh and blood. Their food of choice is sleeping pregnant women or their fetuses. The Ekek upon finding a vulnerable target will often observe their target for days, savoring the smell of their victims before they attack, choosing to hang just outside a window or from a high ceiling.
